A Boutique Experience for Every Family

At Sarah Ann Photography, I am dedicated to offering a personalised, boutique photography experience for every family whose child attends the schools that have partnered with me. I believe in providing a service that is both professional and deeply personal, ensuring every family feels cared for throughout the process.

Unlike large, corporate photography studios, I limit the number of schools I work with to focus on delivering superior customer service and creating beautiful, artistic images. This means I take the time to capture your child’s unique personality without sacrificing quality, efficiency, or professionalism.

My goal is to authentically capture the essence of each child, never forcing a smile or posing them in awkward positions. I believe in letting children be themselves, naturally, in front of the camera. The result is a collection of genuine, timeless portraits that reflect who your child truly is, free from the stiff, traditional setups of school photography. With soft, natural light and simple, clean white backdrops, I create a relaxed, fun environment where children can feel at ease and enjoy the experience.

 FAQs

  • I offer a seamless, online photography experience for schools and families. After photo day, families receive access to secure, online ordering galleries, these are organised by grade, classroom, or any grouping that works best for the school. From there, parents can easily navigate to their child’s individual gallery where they can view and select their favourite images.

  • I offer wallet size prints through to 11" x 14", canvases and metal prints.

    I also offer digital images for those parents who would prefer to print their own photos and/or share on social media.

  • I’m so glad you asked! My approach is unique and elevates the school portrait experience. Unlike traditional school photos, I focus on creating authentic, timeless portraits that capture the real essence of each child.

    I guarantee that each child will have at least 2-5 professionally crafted images available in both colour and black-and-white. Families can choose their favourite photos for prints, avoiding the one-size-fits-all approach of traditional school photos. I also offer boutique products like canvas gallery wraps and digital images for future use. Before photo day, each school receives a detailed PDF outlining all procedures, which is distributed to families.

    Prints are ordered online and delivered directly to the school within six weeks.

    I supply all equipment and staff necessary for a smooth photo day experience and handle any questions or concerns from families.

    Additionally, I can, upon request, provide high-resolution digital files to the school for yearbooks, websites, advertising, and school IDs.

  • I can accomodate schools and kindergartens of all sizes.

  • My rates are competitive, and there are no upfront costs. All profits are made through family orders. I offer a variety of collections and a-la-carte products to suit everyone’s needs.

  • I work with each school to schedule sessions during any point in the academic year, based on their preferences and calendar availability.

  • No, you don’t have to replace your current photographer. This service can complement what you already have, offering a contrasting and unique style that adds variety to your school photos. In fact, many parents may prefer my Fine Art approach for its natural, authentic feel and personalised touch, providing a different option that captures their child’s individuality in a way that traditional school photos might not.

  • Whether the children wear school uniforms or free dress for their portraits is entirely up to the school’s preference. Personally, I love the idea of capturing them in free dress, as it allows each child to express their personality and individuality through their clothing choices. Free dress can add a fun and unique touch to the portraits, but either option works beautifully!

  • Yes, I do! I offer class photos at the request of the school if this is something they desire and require. I’m happy to work with your school to include class photos alongside the individual portraits to ensure you get exactly what you need.
